Project Description
Abatemaster conducted the full scope of asbestos remediation, securing necessary permits and coordinating workflows to meet regulatory timelines. Key services included
- Removal of 9,850 SF of asbestos-containing textured materialfrom walls and ceilings.
- Abatement of 3,800 SF of ACM flooringin bathrooms and dressing areas.
- Elimination of 1,900 SF of troweled-on ACM texturein upper-level bathrooms.
- Demolition and disposal of one contaminated kitchen sink.
The team implemented NC DHHS/EPA-compliant containment protocols, including HVAC shutdown, HEPA air filtration systems, and dedicated decontamination units. Wet removal methods and PPE ensured safe handling of friable materials. All waste was transported to approved landfills with manifest documentation provided.
Abatemaster completed visual inspections and optional third-party air testing (PCM <0.01 f/cc), guaranteeing regulatory clearance. The project maintained continuous negative pressure enclosures and adhered to permitting requirements, including the mandated two-week notice period.
